Thuy Nguyen
Thuy Nguyen is a Vietnamese-born artist currently residing in Houston, Texas, where she creates watercolor paintings that alternate between geometric abstract motifs and loose and painterly figurative works depicting the natural world.
A pharmacist and entrepreneur by trade, Nguyen has pursued an active interest in art by taking courses at the Glassell School of Art since 2003, where she has also honed her skills in drawing, design, oil painting and ceramics.
“Painting is my passion," says Nguyen. "I describe what and how I see things in my paintings. And, I am always amazed at how light affects everything around us, altering the way we experience what we see.”
