La Solución es Revolución
The Solution is Revolution
I have been involved in social justice causes from an early age, with a baroque catholic influence.
My first memory of participating in a student protest was about the killing of students in 1968 at the Tlatelolco Plaza in Mexico City.
Political and religious turmoil has always influenced and informed not only my life but also my creative purpose in life: art.
After being in the creative arena for more than 50 years, I still have a difficult time calling myself an artist after people grossly misuse the term. I like to call myself an artisan who has learned from a classical perspective: drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, bookbinding, paper making, and paper marbling, and has fused all that knowledge with imagination.
